We’re looking for someone to join our Commercial Finance team to support the identification and realisation of the UKI sales and margin opportunity by continually challenging current thinking through providing pro-active, high-quality insight and analysis that enables the business to make informed decisions in relation to the operational delivery of the overall business strategy.
Responsibilities include menu pricing decision support, promotional strategy analysis and recommendation, food & drink innovation, loyalty strategy support, delivery strategy support, retail support, food cost of sales & waste.
What you’ll be doing:
Support the development of a compelling vision of the direction for the dine in sales channel
Continually challenge current thinking and, using benchmarking & best practice as well as original solutions, make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business
Provide pro-active, insightful, high quality decision-making support, ensuring business-wide implications are considered, that enables the business to make the best decisions regarding investment decisions
Promotional strategy finance lead working with marketing team tohave an effective promotional toolkit in place, including setting up and analysing test plans, and providing post promotion analysis and insight
Act as business partner to the Chief Digital & Technology Officor to provide analysis and insight to support the future vision for the loyalty app including promotional modelling and analysis
Overall responsibility for pricing decision support and recommendations, including ongoing competitor analysis and insight
Manage the development of the budget & quarterly forecast submissions for sales – including forecasting pricing movements, covers and sales, as well as food costs and rebates, bakery & retail
Ownership of sales trading forecast highlighting risks and opportunities whilst making recommendations to drive sales and profit margin
Owner of food cost of sales, waste, bakery & retail planning process, providing both budget and ongoing forecasted view including highlighting areas of risk to forecast. Periodic analysis of results vs forecast
Management of 1 direct report (business analyst)
What you’ll need:
Qualified accountant –4-year PQE would be preferred
Strong influencing skills – proven ability to build strong relationships with potentially challenging stakeholders
Ability to challenge stakeholders
Experience of delivering positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in a hospitality / retail or multi-site business
