Our specialist Employee Relations team is looking for a pragmatic, solutions-focused ER Manager who can make a real impact. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, sociable environment and wants to shape how we manage ER across a large, dynamic hospitality business.
With c.350 restaurants across the UK and Ireland, our ER team is at the heart of supporting our people and leaders. As an ER Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing complex ER cases, guiding senior leaders through challenging situations, and driving continuous improvement in our ER practices, while managing the day-to-day of the ER team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management of high-volume and complex ER cases, ensuring consistency, fairness and legal compliance across the business.
Provide expert advice, coaching and challenge to senior leaders, Territory Managers and General Managers to build capability and confidence in handling ER issues.
Analyse ER case data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translate insights into practical recommendations for improvement.
Shape and refine ER policies, processes and toolkits to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose and future-focused.
Partner closely with the wider People team on strategic projects, embedding best practice and aligning ER with business priorities.
Stay ahead of employment law developments, ensuring the business is proactive in adapting to change.
What you’ll need:
CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) with a strong track record in ER management.
Deep knowledge of UK employment law and Employment Tribunal processes.
Proven experience leading complex ER cases and providing advice up to senior leadership level.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to spot trends, assess risks and develop solutions that balance legal compliance with commercial needs.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge where needed.
A proactive, collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance operational demands with strategic priorities.
Previous experience managing a team.
